Greyling and fellow props Hencus van Wyk and Basil Short were hurt in the crash near Pretoria on Wednesday, the Bulls said.

None of the players were seriously injured, but they have all been withdrawn from action this weekend.

The Bulls said Greyling, who has three test caps for the Springboks, hurt his knee. Van Wyk sustained “scrape wounds” and Short injured his neck. Short spent Wednesday night in the hospital “for observation,” Bulls high performance manager Xander Janse van Rensburg said.

“We are grateful that they did not sustain any serious injuries,” Van Rensburg said.

Greyling and Van Wyk were expected to play for the Bulls against South African rivals the Lions in a Super Rugby game in Pretoria on Saturday. Short was listed to play in a domestic game.

They will all sit out this weekend, the Bulls said, but Greyling and Van Wyk will travel with the Bulls when they depart Sunday for a four-game Super Rugby tour of New Zealand and Australia. – AP-ANA
