South Africa’s Blitzbokke scored first-half tries through Juan de Jongh, Philip Snyman and Rosco Speckman. Justin Geduld has his kicking boots on and was on target with all three conversion attempts. The 21-point haul also proved to be a matchwinning score as the Blitzbokke failed to cross the line in the second half, after leading 21-7 at the break.
France managed a try in each half through Virimi Vakatawa and Pierre Gilles Lakafia, one of which was converted.
The French were a pale shadow of the side that dumped the Dubai champions Fiji out of the Cup competition with a nail-biting 17-14 in the quarterfinal round.
