The former South Africa Under-20 mentor joins Siwelele after the departure of Clinton Larsen last week and will immediately take charge of the team.

Club owner Max Tshabalala expressed his excitement at the appointment of 52-year-old Letsoaka.

“Words cannot describe our utter joy, to sign a coach of such impeccable credentials with an incredible work ethic,” said Tshabalala.

“He is a steward of South African football, having served the country at the highest level as a Safa Technical Director and also possessing high coaching qualifications and also serves as a CAF Coaching Instructor.

“We are a futuristic institution believing in our own talent and Serame is an appropriate choice to help us fulfil our long-term vision. He has a wealth of experience, working with youth at different national levels and that will also benefit our development sides.”

“The culture of the team is paramount, there were a lot of applications from afar as Spain but we felt that Serame, will be the appropriate choice as he is more familiar with our style of play.

Letsoaka will be unveiled to the media on Monday.

He joins a Celtic team that has done fairly well so far this season. They reached the last four of the MTN8 and are presently sixth on the Absa Premiership table.

The former SuperSport United and Bafana Bafana assistant also impressed during his 10-game spell in Durban, leading Abafana Bes’thende to seventh position in their first season since they were promoted. – African News Agency (ANA)
