The Leicester striker marries his fiancee Rebekah Nicholson in Cheshire, having been given leave by Hodgson.
Vardy has already moved his nuptials three times to accommodate England commitments - something that Hodgson appreciates.
The England manager, though, has warned the 29-year-old that if he steps out of line he will suffer the consequences. ‘I’m really not concerned. I hope he will be sensible and I believe he will be sensible,’ said Hodgson.
‘I know he really is desperate to be selected to go to the Euros and do a good job so I’m pretty confident when I see him on Saturday morning he will be fine.
‘By all means feel free to ask if he intends to let down his hair and do some stupid things after the wedding - and if the answer is yes, feel free to batter him.’
A number of Vardy’s current and former team-mates, including best man David Nugent, will be at the wedding, which is to be covered by celebrity magazine Hello.
Leicester midfielder Danny Drinkwater has dispensation to attend the service but Vardy’s other England colleagues will not be there because of their training schedule in preparation for Friday’s clash with Australia at the Stadium of Light.
‘Jamie invited everybody, but of course we can’t go,’ said Hodgson. ‘Having said that, we train at 5pm on Wednesday. His wedding is at 2pm so there is a possibility, and I have allowed Danny Drinkwater to stop off for the wedding and then join us at 4pm for the training session.’
Hodgson will not select Vardy for the Australia friendly match despite the player insisting that he is available.
Speaking after Sunday’s 2-1 win over Turkey, Vardy said: ‘I have been given the day off for the wedding and then I’m straight back in to prepare for Friday so I should be available.
‘It will be a very quiet night on Wednesday. Obviously, I hope all the guests have a good time but I will have a quiet one.
‘I’ve not got a curfew but I’m a professional and understand what has to be done so will be making sure I get plenty of sleep ready to come back in.’
